Shanghai / China, February 16, 2016 – Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) has appointed Kuehne + Nagel to manage the distribution requirements for its Corning Life Sciences business in the Asia-Pacific market.
Under the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel will handle the logistics for
Corning’s customers out of a new distribution center in Shanghai, located in
the Yangshan Free Trade Port Area. Kuehne + Nagel services will include
the consolidation of intercontinental seafreight shipments from Corning Life
Sciences` global locations, warehousing, pick and pack, and distribution of
products for the Asia-Pacific market. Establishing the operation within the
Shanghai Free Trade zone area will allow for more efficient and costeffective
handling.
